Owned and managed by his son Harry Clopman from the late 1940's on returning from WWII.
Harry's son Joseph Clopman joined the family business in 1964 and retired in August of 2008.
Harry's son-in law Frank Catapano and daughter Miriam Catapano joined the family business in October 1992 and are managing it today. They both had extensive management experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry prior to coming to Clopmans. Frank also has prior retail experience.
Clopman's opened on Water St in Massena and moved to its current location on Main St in 1955.
They expanded the size of the current operation several times over the years.
Clopman's started out selling furniture and added appliances and floor coverings.
They have also had stores in Norwood, Canton and Ogdensburg.
